making the overlooked visible

I was approached by the Austrian culture and arts platform KUPF to provide illustrations for their magazine issue on the interplay between social class and culture. For me it, was important to put the focus on those who are often the most overlooked in our society. Which is why I specifically wanted to depict a black woman, working in an often very underappreciated minimum wage job. And with her tools of the trade, she still creates art and she still fights against systemic injustices.
